SICKBOY AND WORD TO MOTHER WORLD EXCLUSIVE - 13TH DECEMBER 2012

PARANOIA ON PAPER

“We broke our brains in two and put it in a book”

Thursday 13th December 2012, 73 Kingsland Road, 6pm

POP-UP INSTALLATION - ONE NIGHT ONLY

For the first time in recorded history, Sickboy and Word To Mother are offering a revolutionary insight into the twisted world of their collective imagination. December 13th will see the elusive pair open the doors to the public for one night only. This momentous occasion will also mark the release of the Sickboy and Word To Mother 'Box Set.' This collector's item is an essential addition for any fan of Graffiti or Street Art, from two of the UK
ʼs most revered Street Artists.

A warped partnership of polar opposites, Sickboy and Word To Mother have been painting walls and making art together since they met in London in 2007.

Within the last twelve months, Sickboy has seen two major solo shows: London
ʼs “Heaven and Earth”, featuring Eine, D*Face and Paul Insect, and the critically acclaimed solo show “Wonderclub” at San Franciscoʼs Whitewalls gallery.

Word To Mother, an internet-shy artist who is known for his analogue approach, has been one of the rising stars in the London Street Art scene since his first sell out show at StolenSpace Gallery in 2007. Whether international solo show or collaborative project, he retains a considered, well-crafted aesthetic.

Together, the graffiti obsessed art crusaders create a whole new level of originality, melding their unmistakable illustrations with visual treats from their shared adventures.

The ʻ
Paranoia on Paperʼ Box Set will include a hand-bound book containing never-before-seen sketches fresh from late night sessions in freezing cold studios, photographs documenting precarious missions through the undergrowth of London, comics made exclusively for this release, and a tear-out screen print. Accompanied by luxury hand-made Sickboy and Word To Mother paraphernalia, the items will be presented in bespoke boxes. Limited to an edition of 50, these are going to be highly sought-after pieces. The Box Set will be available in limited numbers on the night and online the next day, so getting there early is strongly recommended.

This occasion must be seen to be believed – get there before these two fall out and never attempt such creative endeavours again.
